Project Description:
This project introduces the core concept of derivatives by answering a simple but deep question:
“What does it mean to talk about the slope of a curve?”
You’ll begin by connecting your prior understanding of slope from algebra to the calculus idea of instantaneous rate of change. Then you’ll visually show how the tangent line represents that rate — and apply this to a real-world situation like tracking the speed of a car, growth of a population, or rise in daily website traffic.
